RDA Barossa

With a background in commercial law and relevant studies in Law, Economics and Business, Anne is responsible for organisational performance and working with the Board to develop regional strategic vision. Anne contributes to regional development through sitting on a number of community Boards and Committees and maintains active dialogue with the three levels of government and industry. Her goals are for real balance between the economic the social and the environmental and for a thinking and innovative region where good design is embedded in all processes and places.

Barbara Lightburn commenced as Skilled Migration Officer on 25th July 2007. Her role is to contribute to the attraction and retention of skilled migrants in the region. With expertise in Education and Organisational Behaviour she has a wealth of information on the issues facing employers in today’s environment. Her knowledge of State, National and Global perspectives on current workforce planning approaches, and strategies for a changing workforce will be utilised in the Barossa, Light and Gawler regions to assist in a planned approach to future skills needs.

Barbara lives in Tanunda with her family. She holds a Bachelor of Education, Post Grad Diploma of Business and is currently studying for a Masters of Business.

With a background in urban and regional planning, tourism development and urban design, Craig is responsible for economic development, managing strategic projects and industry research. Craig has had a career in Local and State Government over the past 15 years working for the Department of Planning and Local Government, the South Australian Tourism Commission, the Department of Conservation and Land Management in Western Australia and the Dunedin City Council in New Zealand. His knowledge of government grant programs, the South Australian Planning System and strategic planning processes will be utilised to capitalise on the opportunities and challenges presented by the 30 Year Plan for Greater Adelaide.

Craig’s qualifications include: B.A. Planning, Grad. Dip. Recreation Planning and Management; M. Appl. Sci. in Parks, Tourism and Recreation Management. Craig is currently a committee member for Mainstreet SA –a not for profit, member based organisation committed to supporting the traditional village shopping strips and town centres of Australia.

Charlotte brings to the team knowledge and experience in urban and regional land use planning, and strategic projects at both state and local government levels, in both South Australia and Victoria. Her role at RDAB is to collate and distributing regional information for the Liveability and Investment potential of the Region, develop environmental economic development projects in the region and assist business growth.  Charlotte’s background in tourism will inform RDAB’s contribution to this important sector.

She holds a Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management) and a Graduate Diploma in Social Science (Environment and Planning).

Nathan Gogoll is the Barossa Regional Tourism Manager.  When his is not out and about promoting the region, he divides his time between the RDA Office and the Tourism Barossa Office. Nathan stepped into the tourism role after almost 10 years as a journalist and editor, starting out on country newspapers and most recently working on national wine and business titles. He grew up in the Barossa and is now bringing up a family of his own here. He loves telling stories and getting people enthused about spending time in the Barossa. He's mad keen on wine and hockey and spends lots of time making a mess in his kitchen.

Felicity joined the Barossa & Light Regional Development Board in December 1999 as Office Trainee. She moved into her current role as Project Officer in October 2000. Her position administers funding provided by the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science & Technology through the South Australia Works - Working Regions program.

Her qualifications include a Certificate in Vocational Education Health & Community Services, Certificates II & III in Business (Office Administration), Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and a Certificate III & IV in Financial Services (Clerical).

Steve has had a diversified administrative career within the Manufacturing, Tertiary and Local Government sectors, where he has undertaken a variety of roles including: Payroll/Remuneration, Superannuation, HRIS Data Base Management, Internal Quality Auditing, Rehabilitation, Human Resources Management and Career Planning.

Steve’s qualifications include; Diploma of Human Resources Management, Certificate IV in Career Development, Certificate IV in Business, Certificate of Superannuation Management and Certified Payroll Specialist.

Ashleigh commenced at Regional Development Australia Barossa as an Administration Trainee in February 2010. She moved into her current role as Executive Assistant in January 2011.

Her responsibilities include executive support to the CEO and Board, events management and minute taking for various committees in the Barossa.

Ashleigh has completed her Certificate III in Business and is currently studying for her Diploma in Events Management at TAFE SA.
