Ian is a self employed Livestock Biosecurity Auditor. He has been a primary producer in the Mallala area for over 30 years. He is an active member of a number of Agribusiness organisations and community organisations. Ian was the Chair of Yorke Regional Development Board and is a member of the SA Regional Communities Consultative Council.
In 1997, Ian was awarded an Order of Australia medal for services to the community and local government, and in 2008, won a national leadership award from Economic Development Australia. He is also a Justice of the Peace.

Alex is a member of the South Australian Police Force and is the Local Service Area Commander for the Barossa region.

Alex is a member of the South Australian Police Force and is the Local Service Area Commander for the Barossa region. He is a member of the Police Credit Union Board and the Chair of Workskil (an employment services provider). He has successfully completed the SA Governor’s Leadership Foundation program conducted by the Leaders Institute of SA, which has provided him with a strategic overview of the issues facing the South Australian and broader Australian community into the future.
As a Local Area Service Commander, Alex works in partnership with local stakeholders including local government organisations, service organisations and community groups. Alex was a member of the Marion City Council for eight years.

Brian has held the position of CEO at the councils of Wakefield Plains, City of Elizabeth, City of Tea Tree Gully and Liverpool City Council, NSW, before taking up his current position of CEO at Light Regional Council. During the period between 2003-2007, Brian had been providing consulting services to the public and private sectors within South Australia. A fellow of Local Government Manager’s Australia and a retired member of the Chief Officer’s Group (Australia and New Zealand). He has been recognised and appointed a Business Ambassador for the State of South Australia.
Husband to Bonita and father of 3 children; Lauren, Wes (Australian Idol, 2008) and Charlie who is 2 years old.

He is an Associate Member of Local Government Managers Australia, Chairperson of the Barossa Zone Emergency Management Committee and Deputy Chairperson of the State Mitigation Advisory Group. Stephen is a previous Board Member of the Mid North Regional Development Board and has held various positions on community organisations including School Councils, Church Councils and numerous sporting clubs.

As a qualified winemaker working in several villages of Bordeaux, Victoria was so captivated by the local cheese and the tradition of cheese making that she opened her own gourmet cheese cellar in the Barossa Valley. After almost seven years, she has won many top awards including the Australian Grand Dairy Awards for two consecutive years.

He holds formal qualifications in Accounting and also an MBA from Adelaide University. He is a member of CPA Australia and the Local Government Managers Association. Charles is involved as a board member of a secondary school and sporting groups.

I have my own business that I started in 2007, Wine Architect that supplies winemaking consultancy to a range of clients domestically and internationally. The Barossa is a precious, vibrant region that amazes me with its potential for growth and improvement. I am honoured to be part of the Regional Development Board programs that will hopefully assist this growth.

The position covers a broad range of portfolios including Corporate Services, Financial Services, Administrative Services, Library Services, Information & Communication Technology, Youth Services, Volunteer Resource Centre, Visitor Information Centre, Community Transport, Home Assist and Leisure Options, Community Arts, Property Management.
Jo was born in Tumbridge Wells, UK. She arrived in Australia in 2007 with her husband and two children, and worked in the SA Department of Education and Children’s Services prior to joining Council.
Having over 20 years experience in senior administration roles, and specialising in project management, a recent highlight has been the delivery of the largest infrastructure project in The Barossa Council’s history and in regional South Australia in the last decade, “the Rex” Barossa Aquatic and Fitness Centre.
In her free time, Jo enjoys her family, reading and gardening.

He holds formal qualifications in Diploma in Business Management and a Graduate Australian Institute Company Directors Company Directors course. He is passionate about SA and in particular the wider Barossa region. Wayne has been involved with Barossa & Light Regional Development Board, Chair SA Works Workforce Development Network and School Boards for many years.

A foundation and life member of the Two Wells Hockey and Softball Clubs, current committee member of the Football & Netball Sporting Clubs, president of the Tennis Club, past president of the Kindergarten Committee, which oversaw the development and construction of the Community Childrens Centre and was a member of the community and economic development committee, the Two Wells Regional Action Team for 6 years.
Lynette is interested in collaborative community development, advancement and achievements.

Tony has had over thirty years experience in operational and management, beginning as a management cadet with the Advertiser Group and progressing through various national and international roles around food and food packaging and marketing.
He has held a number of senior roles developing family food corporates and is currently General Manager of a family business based at Roseworthy. Tony is a Certified Practising Manager, an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Company Director. He is a former Chair of the State Horticulture Development Board and Premiers Food Council.

Rolf Binder is an iconic name from the Barossa Valley, known amongst true wine collectors and connoisseurs as a producer of rich Shiraz of cult status. With his sister Christa, Rolf has built up Rolf Binder Wines through consistently high standards and uncompromising wine quality.
Rolf Binder was born at Rose Park in Adelaide to Rolf Heinrich Binder of Hungary and his Austrian wife, Franciska, post-war arrivals to Australia. He spent his schooling at Linden Park Primary School and Concordia College in Unley. An interest in agriculture took him to Roseworthy College where he attained a degree in Agricultural Science, specializing in Oenology.
His relaxation time is spent with his family and friends, sharing food and wine, and giving him an excuse to practice his other passion, cooking. Asian flavours and styles are his interest at present, enhanced by intermittent trips to Malaysia and China to visit wine distributors. Time out is spent reading travel literature, pottering in his vegetable garden or just enjoying life on a sunny day.

Chris McCann moved to the Barossa in 1989 and has worked for TAFE SA Regional as a lecturer in the Community Services and Health program, a Regional Manager and now as Director of Educational Programs, with a role that covers all of regional South Australia. Chris has a strong commitment to education and capacity building in regional and rural communities.
